Second Prenatal Appointment

I chuckle when pregnant woman are asked, "What are you expecting?" as if they are expecting an alien.  Well, this week its evident we are indeed expecting a baby!  (Whereas the first ultrasound produced an image of a blobbish mass, unknown of what it was to become).   At 11 weeks, the heartbeat was loud and clear and things look good so far.  We took a bunch of tests however, since with increased maternal age comes increased genetic risks, and won't be sharing the news with the general public until we hear the results.

My hubby accompanied me this time and was just as taken aback when he heart the heartbeat and saw the baby as I was last time.  What a miracle.
